Friday Night Wine and Music Series

Relax and enjoy the smooth sounds of Red Hot Jazz at this month’s BayWalk Friday Night Wine and Music Series on Friday, June 18 from 6-9 p.m. Attendees of St. Petersburg’s popular free outdoor event can purchase glasses of wine for a $3 donation. This month’s proceeds benefit the Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County. The monies raised will assist in their mission to eliminate poverty housing by building and renovating decent, safe and affordable housing for low-income families in Pinellas County. The event is open to the public, and all BayWalk guests enjoy free parking in the garage with validation. The series takes place on the third Friday of every month through November.

Sunscreen Film Festival
Wednesday, April 14 – Sunday, April 18
6 – 9 p.m.

BayWalk is rolling out the red carpet for the 5th Annual Sunscreen Film Festival. Over 12,000 attendees are expected to fill BayWalk for the 100 + films, daily panel discussions, and a chance to meet the likes of John Travolta, Kelly Preston, Star Wars’ Billy Dee Williams, St. Petersburg’s Patrick Wilson, and Twilight film stars Soloman Trimble and Ayanna Berkshire.

Featuring the smooth blend of adult contemporary and pop/jazz, the in-demand Stacey Knights Group will perform live at the BayWalk Wine and Music Series on Friday, April 16 from 6-9 p.m. Attendees of St. Petersburg’s most popular outdoor event can purchase glasses of wine for a $3 donation. This month’s proceeds benefit St. Petersburg’s Resurrection House, which provides transitional housing to families with young children who are at risk of becoming homeless.

Featuring the upbeat sounds of the Angelo Tinsley Jazz Trio, the BayWalk Friday Night Wine and Music Series is on the calendar for Friday, March 19 from 6 - 9 p.m. Attendees of St. Petersburg's most popular free outdoor event can purchase glasses of wine for a $3 donation. This month's proceeds benefit the St. Petersburg Chapter of the American Lung Association. The monies raised will assist in their mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, advocacy and research. The event is open to the public, and all BayWalk guests enjoy free parking in the garage with validation. The series takes place on the third Friday of every month through November.

BayWalk's Friday Night Wine and Music Series is BACK! The event is on the calendar for Friday, February 19 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. with proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross International Disaster Reponse Fund for Haiti. The popular outdoor jazz event is free and open to the public; guests can purchase glasses of wine for a $3 donation. The series takes place on the third Friday of every month from February to November. Wine and Music attendees will enjoy FREE PARKING in the garage with validation.

Legendary Buster Cooper and Nate Najar Jam Together for One Night Only

BayWalk Welcomes hermanHOME

Buster Cooper has recorded with greats like Ella Fitzgerald and has played to packed houses at downtown establishments for years. Nate Najar opened last year's Clearwater Jazz Fest, plays to sold-out crowds at the Palladium and just released his third CD.

Together, they are St. Pete's own jazz greats and this Thursday, January 21st, from 6-9pm, they will join together for a rare three-hour jam session at BayWalk.

The free event is made possible by the new hermanHOME store of BayWalk. Guests will enjoy complimentary fine wine, food, giveaways and one night only sales specials from Chico's, White House | Black Market, Engel & Voelkers, and Muvico Theatres.

BayWalk Holiday Spectacular with Radio Disney

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 19 for the BayWalk Holiday Spectacular hosted by Radio Disney. This fun and exciting free event is from 1 - 4 p.m. in the BayWalk Courtyard in Downtown St. Pete! There will be fun for the whole family including live music, interactive games, lots of giveaways, and even a special sack of Disney Prizes given by Santa himself! Bring your camera to capture all of the festivities.

First Night St. Petersburg 2010

First Kids: Start your First Night activities at First Kids in the BayWalk Courtyard. Make a fabulous New Year's Eve hat or mask with artist Sherri Lundquist and crew. Enjoy the Musical Petting Zoo with the 2nd Time Arounders Band, the Smuppets theatre show, magician Anthony Jones, young singing artist Ella Jet, and the 4-H Ballroom Dancing Bicycle Brigade. Join the procession to the Bubble Stomp at 8 p.m.

Kick up Your Heels: Jerry Carrier Cajun Dance Lesson, 7 - 7:30 p.m. Learn to Cajun dance with Jerry Carrier. He will get the audience ready to kick up their heels to the authentic Cajun music of the Berard Naquin Band, performing later on the Finale Stage.

Spoken Word: Aleshea Harris, 8:30 - 9:15 p.m. Aleshea performs her musical and spoken word compositions. Her writing and singing talent is always a stirring meditation and an electrifying performance.

Ring in the New Year: Lutheran Church of the Cross Bell Choir: 8:00, 9:00 The Lutheran Church of the Cross Bell Choir performs.

First Night Dance Party: The Shawn Brown Band, 8 p.m. - 12 a.m. Dance your way into the New Year with the Shawn Brown Band. This rhythmic and soulful R&B band will provide the beat to welcome 2010.

Tickets are available at several St. Petersburg locations and online and range from $6 - $12.
